Death At Home
Should a death occur at home, you will first need to call your doctor who will come to your home to certify the death. You can then call us, day or night, to arrange for us to take your loved one into our care.

Registering A Death
A death which occurs in Northern Ireland can be registered in any District – Council Registration Office and should be registered within five working days. If the death has been referred to the coroner, then the Council Registration Office will contact the family in due course.

Death In Hospital
The doctor tending to the deceased during their illness will issue a medical certificate of cause of death. This may be done shortly after the death or perhaps the following morning, depending on the time of death and if the doctor is available.
The deceased will be removed to the mortuary, where the funeral director will liase with the staff to organise the moving of the deceased to the funeral home. Contact Ambrose McSparron & Sons at any time after the death and we will guide you in the right direction.
